Born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, I earned my law degree from St. Louis University in 1996 and returned home in 2004 after practicing for several years in St. Louis. John Forkner
I spent the early part of my legal career in criminal law, where I learned the importance of strong advocacy and finding practical, real-world solutions. After time in Oklahoma and the business world, I returned to Missouri and now focus on the areas of law that matter most to me—helping clients protect what they’ve built, whether it’s their assets, their business, or their future.
Originally from Southwest Missouri, I earned my law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1992 after completing my undergraduate studies at Lyon College. I’m proud to once again serve my community by working with individuals and families from all backgrounds to help them avoid probate and understand the value of thoughtful, proactive planning.

Originally from Missouri, I earned my law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2004 and have been practicing in Missouri since 2006 and Tennessee since 2004. In addition to private practice and nonprofit legal services, I’ve served as an adjunct professor and actively mentor young attorneys. My focus is always on guiding clients through complex legal challenges with clarity and care.
